In a URL, anything after a question mark is entirely optional and may be linked to you. That's how those "click to confirm your login" links work.

How else would that link know about you?

When I get a mailer, the same thing happens, but I clear it just in case lots of DU'ers click it and it looks like I am replying 100 times, or you end up with the wrong "rally will be held here".

Not a biggie except links set up by crooks. Reminder, never click on a link in an email or message unless you are 200% sure of the sender, and crooks fake identities. Don't ask me how. It's amazing.

If it's a bank, go to the bank's website and find what you need there, or call them at their very well known addresses.

Sorry to ramble.

Oddly enough, when I copied and pasted your URL, the odd stuff was removed. Pretty cool and unexpected.
