Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

The reason the employers race to stuff IT departments with H-1B visa holders is NOT because Americans are too stupid to succeed at these jobs. The constant statements and implications in the press to that effect are fucking insulting and more Democrats should wake up and stop supporting this undermining of American workers.

“If you’re going to train people, you’re going to train Americans.” Lutnick said on a conference call with reporters. “If you have a very sophisticated engineer and you want to bring them in ... then you can pay $100,000 a year for your H-1B visa.”

It's a shame DEMOCRATS didn't think to do this. Or something like it. (There are probably better fixes for H-1B but it has been a catastrophe for American workers for so long, it's understandable if people look past the flaws of this particular approach.)
