10. Will be interesting to see if he files a lawsuit.

This county is poor with a small population (limited tax base) and probably operates on a shoestring budget. I’ve seen counties like that bankrupted over illegal, dumb shit sheriffs have done. A county in my state had a county jail inmate die because they didn’t get him medical care for pneumonia. Boom, $5 million judgement in federal court and everyone’s taxes went up significantly. While this doesn’t involve a death, it does involve a lengthy incarceration period in what is almost certainly a substandard jail over a first amendment issue. Hope they’re paid up on their insurance, assuming they can even afford coverage. A lot of counties like that can’t.
