10. I didn't have energy to shop and cook, so we went to a local Ethiopian market/restaurant.

Best injira in town, real teff flour, not teff and buckwheat. We showed up at 2 pm, their "slow period", and no one was there when we got there; they weren't expecting anyone to come in until around 5, so the owner and his family took turns sitting down and eating their dinners with us.
5 selection Veggie combos and 5 selection meat combos at various spice levels, and the best collard greens I've had, well cooked and flavored, but not soggy at all. And more food than three people could eat...at about the price of getting everything for a "traditional" Thanksgiving dinner with leftovers.
Ethiopian ginger tea, coffee, and (free) honey cake and cream for dessert.
The market owner and his family, who came out to eat with us, were very thankful we were there. And that is what, to me, was important. Everyone was thankful. Everyone had good food. And we helped a local business owner.
