7. It's like a curtain got pulled back and we found out

Yesterday

how awful humans(?) can be all in one short, disturbing timeline. And yes, I know that the horrors of the past were myriad and disgusting and often unthinkable. My own hope and internal blinders apparently made me think we were past the point where an immoral criminal cabal could take over the country so quickly and completely. It is extremely depressing.
