Yesterday

52-53 million immigrants currently in the US.
Estimates are that 7-9% are either undocumented or in-process.
4 million people is 33% above the population of Chicago.
I don't agree with the building of these detention centers, the approach to immigration they're employing, and their xenophobia. But, the number of detention centers needed for millions of people is a big one.
No extrapolation to other nefarious goals is needed to explain the buildings they're acquiring.
