And certainly bot a superpower. They have no capability to stop the attacks on themselves or to put real pressure on their attackers elsewhere.

What they have is exactly what I said on the first day of the war. They can put pressure on oil prices and make the war politically unsustainable to fight. You can't stop that with an air campaign, you have to invade by land and take and hold territory. Trump being so far unwilling to do that means Iran can continue to block traffic in the straight and continue to launch drones and missiles at regional targets.
