This is an intimidation tactic.

Even were they able to convince a grand jury to indict (unlikely), I very much doubt they'd take it to trial and risk discovery not only supporting her testimony, but potentially exposing more coup criminality by Krasnov, et al.

That said, we the taxpayers will be bearing the cost of this latest bit of attempted revenge tantruming.
