I've run cars on biodiesel as well. I also know that everything made from petroleum can be made from vegetable oil. Was it Chevron that used to advertise about how they were studying fuels from algae?Economics dictates what sources are used. And the economics are changing.

Yes, renewables are generally electricity. Yes, let's not confuse people.
