It was a horror.....yet not even close to the horror of Sandy Hook - or any one of dozens of others you could name.

(this doesn't seem to be common knowledge, but seeing that Omaha was more like an abattoir than a military operation, Ike considered sounding retreat. What a disaster that would have been)
