But of course, mail ballots are an anathema to those who seek to subvert free and fair elections -- a greater threat to their project to limit the franchise than anything else..

In Washington, the verification process is stringent. And Washington is one of the 26 states that are party to the ERIC compact -- a system that WORKS to improve accuracy of voter rolls WITHOUT purging eligible voters.

I have no doubt the fascist corporatist are seeking to subvert ERIC. So far, having failed to co-opt it and turn it toward their goal of purging eligible voters, they seek instead to weaken it by limiting participation.

There are currently 26 states and the District of Columbia that subscribe to the Electronic Registration Information Center (ERIC). The interstate compact securely cross-references voter registration and DMV records to help states maintain accurate voter rolls, identify duplicate registrations, and remove deceased voters. The states that are members of ERIC include:
Alaska
Arizona
Colorado
Connecticut
Delaware
Georgia
Illinois
Kentucky
Maine
Maryland
Massachusetts
