It's totally fictional.

It's literally a scripted "reality show" universe that doesn't exist.

Someone "wrote it up" and their RW media, along with the rest of the stupid M$M, just regurgitates it. When it's repeated enough times, the dumbed-down masses "believe it" and now they have transformed the situation into something where the future "ends" are created, which can be had by carrying out some ludicrous, fascist style "means".
