18. This "Putin tells them" stuff gets so tiresome. If Putin was such a mastermind he'd have won the war two years ago

Putin is ruthless and interfering and evil, but he is not omnipotent and the US is not powerless in front of him.

The hypothesis explains things around the periphery, but to claim that he controls tRump and Rubio and everyone else is a way of absolving the 49.8 % who voted for him of responsibility. tRump is perfectly capable of being a wrecking ball all on his own.

Basically, the United States brought this calamity on itself and must shoulder the responsibility if it is ever to be reversed and avoided in the future.
