(1,502 posts)It's mostly found in Punjab, in the northwest part of India near the border of Pakistan. While it is monotheistic, it's not the same as the one in the Abrahamic religions. However, it rejects that one religious tradition has a monopoly on absolute truth and they don't proselytize. In other words, exactly the opposite of what the Christian nationalists do. The fact that Sikhism doesn't do that is abhorrent to them, especially with the former point that rejects that one religious tradition has a a monopoly on absolute truth. Now that is not to say there are extremist/terrorist Sikh groups, there are. However, compared to Abrahamic religions, you don't hear them as often. Like jihadists, these Christian nationalists believe their way is the one way and will do anything, even violence, to keep it that.
