to censor free speech. This will make it much harder for the Magas to consolidate their authoritarian regime. It also shows Trump is not as powerful as he thinks he is and can be beaten.

Since this came as a result of pressure from the right as well as the left, it suggests that free speech and freedom of expression are part of the DNA of the overwhelming majority of americans. That is, we've had free speech for so long, that it has become part of this nation's culture and therefore it may not be possible to eliminate in the future.

I am pleasantly surprised. I really did not think there would be enough blowback for this to happen.
