As the OP says, Tuberville’s holds are ‘radical, reckless, ridiculous’, yes—unless Tuberville is holding the vacancies so that Trump can fill them with toadies if he’s re-elected. From that perspective, his holds make sense. Like other prominent Republicans, his objection to a social issue like abortion rights is just a smokescreen for more nefarious aims. He wants to make it easy for Trump to use the military against you and me. That’s who Tuberville is. He’s not misguided. He’s anti democracy. He’s anti American. The senate should do everything they can to thwart him. Like run 24/7 sessions approving candidates with Tuberville’s ’holds’. And they should trash him verbally until he drops dead (metaphorically).
