5. The bad rep about bikers comes first from a Life Mag. article. I believe it was 1947.

There was a rally in California that had been going on for years before WW II. A Life photographer or stringer went to it and got the guys to pose. Among the photos, he got them to gather beer bottles, put them in a pile and stand behind them. Then he gets a drunk who wasn't even a biker, to sit on one of the bikes.

The life mag article is searchable in google, on the internet tubes.

From this, comes Brando in The Wild Bunch.

And the reputation grew.
