There's a ritual to it at our house. We always sit down and fill out our ballots together as we read the voter info about candidates and issues (or Google for more) and discuss. After we sign and seal them, we drive to the box at City Hall (that feels so much more official than a drop box in the grocery store) to drop off our ballots, and we put on our "I voted!" stickers.
