John Witeck persuaded me to take a good close look at him. John as you may know was a Freedom Rider who marched w Dr King.

I read the issues page on his website and I’ve been in touch with him just lightly. I haven’t met him yet in person or asked him any hard questions. Nobody’s perfect but this guy has got a lot going for him. It’s highly unlikely we’re going to get anybody with much experience to run against Ed.

Candidates are always a sort of a Rorschach test aren’t they? But I do think he is worthy of Patsy’s seat (and Mark Takai’s.)

I think that he will make us proud.
