RGA entering Louisiana governor’s race to target Democrat John Bel Edwards [View all]
The Republican Governors Association is expected to unleash a television ad targeting Democrat John Bel Edwards in the Louisiana governor’s race.
According to Republicans who have been briefed on the RGA’s ad plan, the $1 million buy will run for two weeks leading up to the Oct. 24 election.
RGA spokesman Jon Thompson did not immediately respond to The Advocate’s request for more details.
The move is significant because it signals concerns at the seat once thought to be a safe “win” for Republicans.
