2. Here is another case of state agency incompetence

Also in Michigan, a state Unemployment Agency worker, Brandi Hawkins, was fired in June of 2020 after it was discovered she conspired to approve fraudulent claims for dozens of people in exchange for kickbacks.

After she was fired, not only did the government not seize her state issued computer, they inexplicably left her log in access and password active, so she continued her theft for another month working from home. Yes, you read that right.

She was eventually found guilty of stealing close to $3 million dollars and sentenced to prison. Ordered to pay restitution, but I doubt the taxpayers are ever going to see any of it.
