6. Well, in fairness, there is a difference between donations and ticket prices for fundraisers.

I think it's pretty obvious that the number was selected intentionally, but I think it's more intended as a playful jab at Sanders than an OMG-MIDDLE-FINGER gesture.

Politicians use all kinds of things to get people to attend fundraisers. The people freaking out about this should probably remember that they are opponents, after all. Welcome to politics.
