In reply to the discussion: Maui Democratic Party activist Shay Chan Hodges says she’s running against U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard [View all]BlueMTexpat
(15,601 posts)8. Great to hear this!
Here's her Huffington Post profile: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/shay-chan-hodges/
She doesn't seem to have a campaign website up yet. I hope that Emily's List will back her candidacy.
As soon as there is a website up, I'll be sending $$$ her way. Tulsi has GOT to go.
Read this from very liberal Mauitime's GE endorsements in 2012: http://mauitime.com/culture/mauitimes-2012-general-election-candidate-and-amendment-endorsements/
Yes, count us among the many who worried that liberal, pro-same-sex marriage Tulsi (Democrat) was just a Trojan Horse for her gay-baiting state Senator dad Mike (who used to be a Republican but is now a Democrat). But an EMILYs List endorsement and her personal assurance to us (in the form of a Tweet) that she does indeed feel that same-sex couples have a right to get married have secured our support.
Emily's List was one of Hillary's early endorsers (in 2015). I'll bet they'll be very wary of Tulsi this time around.

OP
I hope Hodges is successful. And I'm extremely glad that BS won't be appointing the next DNC Chair.

Gabbard is Bernie's Sarah Palin. Thanks Sanders, for giving the stage to this...
