5. High-level waste is at the same time less and more of a problem than it's made out to be

Less, in that the threat can be contained.

More, in that it is a risk and our government cannot decide exactly how and where to dispose of it, and we’re not alone in this.

Our current method of storing it “Uh… let’s put it over there for now.” is not acceptable.

Eventually, I expect the Yucca Mountain site will be used for long-term disposal of high-level waste after “reprocessing.”
