They don't talk to you when they rob/mug/otherwise assault you. They look at you, and with my built - full on top, narrow waist, full hips - there's no mistaking my gender. Plus I'm 5'3". I've always been somewhat envious of those who are more androgynous, who can disguise themselves if they wish.

Oh, and I was at a coffeeshop when I was robbed yesterday. In public, in front of other people, in the city where Google is headquartered. Never say never.
