        It's got to be wonderful not to have recurring gout.  I've never had it, but my sister did.  I've noticed some improvements in my health.  I'm in my 60s and I'm having less cravings since I started eating this way. 
I wish I would have listened to people sooner, but I think I am addressing the health problems before they are serious. I hope!

        The yeast eats the sugar so the carbs from that are minimal. what you need to worry about is the

        A soda pop has 20 teaspoons of sugar!  A kid in the 1800's was lucky to get a candy in two weeks...
