        I know how much I like bread and thought that making my own would give me control over ingredients. When I make a loaf, it lasts for more than a week, so not horrible. I'm staying about 70-95 carbs a day.

        The yeast eats the sugar so the carbs from that are minimal. what you need to worry about is the

        A soda pop has 20 teaspoons of sugar!  A kid in the 1800's was lucky to get a candy in two weeks...
