4. The heat high

Shifted East of me. Right now it is 91 - we’re having a cold spell!

The fires of Hades will be in Texas soon enough.

How Texans keep cool

1) wet a clean washcloth and freeze it in a bag. Slap that sucker on the back of your neck.

2) a hat! Wear a hat and long sleeves preferably cotton.

3) make a big ole pitcher of iced tea, turn on a fan, place a bowl of ice cubes in front of the fan - sit there in your undies enjoying the cool air.

4) if all else fails - come to Texas and float the Comal, Guadalupe, San Marcos or Frio rivers.

5) frozen three musketeers minis are great, too. Frozen grapes also work.

6) if all else fails head to the Texas coast for tasty adult beverages, great seafood, and sea breezes.
