Actually, I still have the same nozzles from 40 years ago. All brass. I use the twist kind on one hose and the pistol kind on the other hose, and both work well, but the twist one is my favorite. Whenever it starts to leak, I just have to replace the washer. I looked online at Amazon and Sears, and they still do sell the metal nozzles for hoses. They are not very expensive.

I don't use a sprinkler, so I don't know about those.

And as to hoses, I need a couple of new ones and I am not convinced that the new ones will be anything as good as the ones I have, but one is actually rotting....I have cut the leaky area and replaced the fittings, but the hose started to leak again. It is just too old.
