The years between make no difference - the empty is still there. I thank him for his service then, and you for yours, TEB.

As I was "only a girl ", no combat for me and I joined right at the tail end of that....ahem... "CONFLICT" (my butt, that was a war, no matter what the powers--that-be wanted to term it).

I am also thankful you were spared that horror. Both my ex (good guy) and his brother did 2 tours each. Neither ever "got over it".)
