Do Not Say We Have Nothing [View all]

by Madeleine Thien, won the Giller $100,000 Prize last week. It also won this year's Governor General's Literary Award and was a finalist for the Man Booker Prize. I daresay that this is a book worth reading. "With maturity and sophistication, humor and beauty, Thien has crafted a novel that is at once intimate and grandly political, rooted in the details of life inside China yet transcendent in its universality."
