SAN FRANCISCO—The outs counted down, Kansas City’s turbo-charged fastballs kept exploding to the plate, and it all just seemed to move faster and faster for the Giants.
Seven outs left for the Giants to stay alive in Game 3 and avoid a 2-1 series deficit.
Six outs. Five. Four. Three-two-one-game-over.
That’s how this game ended, in a rush, a sustained hush, and a 3-2 Royals Game 3 victory before a stunned AT&T crowd on Friday.
