2. I think you have the causality arrow pointing in the wrong direction

I suspect that whatever you see in porn and whatever you see in public which disturb you for the same basic reason are similar because they have a common underlying cause, not because one is causing the other.

The people making the porn don't have a secret agenda to shape society to serve a particular cause, they are just trying to get customers/viewers. You are not seeing society being molded by porn for a specific purpose (except perhaps to spend more time/money on their industry/products), you are seeing porn mirror society including its dark underbelly.

We see the same questioning of causality with Trump. IMO and contrary to many pundits, Trump did NOT make Right-wingers and Republicans awful. Republicans chose and continue to follow Trump because THEY ARE awful. Following Trump is just another manifestation of the basic underlying Repuke awfulness. So too is the disturbing stuff you are seeing in porn just a manifestation of a disturbing aspect of our society.
