(I think this goes here, forgive me if I'm in the wrong place. The new format is a bit confusing.)
I watched this last night and it was even more depressing than "Shiny Happy People." Maybe it was because the kids were so young, I don't know. I could barely watch to the end. I was thankful that it took place during the GWB administration, because I can only begin to imagine what the adults in the piece would have said about Obama, or how it would have gone among them after that, since I'm sure they are all worshipers of the Slobfather--that type usually are. There was one bit of rather grim humor in it which I'm sure was unintentional, when the camp founder was preaching to an audience about her critics and how she was sure they had "never gone on a three day fast, like Jonah, or a forty-day fast, like some of the prophets, or like Jesus", and I took a look at this very large woman and thought (forgive me my uncharity), Yeah, and I bet you've never fasted for as many as three days either, Sister.
Who else has seen this very depressing movie, and what are your thoughts?
