8. I knew at Rick Warren that the Obama we elected wasn't the same as candidate Obama.

Watching the inauguration I was quite moved at seeing the first Black President and one that got elected running as a progressive. However, the choice of Rick Warren to give the prayer gave me a sick feeling in my stomach. I brushed the feeling off until I heard that Howard Dean was dumped w/o a thank you and Rahm Emanuel was the choice as chief of staff. Pres Obama wasn't just turning his back on the left that helped elect him, he was flipping them off.

The Obama who “didn’t do certain of the things his liberal supporters wanted him to do because he didn’t believe in them” (Frank) is the very Obama ..... about whom I raised insistent alarms from the birth of the national Obama phenomenon (in August of 2004) on.
