rather than following other models that use oc\coecion by withholding vital services until lip service is obtained.

News flash: conversion through bullying DOES NOT WORK. It's also one of the reasons I've never tryied deconverting believers.

Plus, it's unkind, something Cathoic Charities seems to realize. Give people food and clothing and as much medical care as you can, then let them start asking questions about why you're doing it. That actually does work from time to time.
