Donald Trump has declared a state of emergency in D.C. in his dictatorial zeal to militarize the streets of our nation's capital. However, the truth is that there IS NO EMERGENCY warranting Trump's declaration.

In this video, I talk with someone who knows the streets of D.C. from policing there for 20 years. Former Metropolitan Police Department Officer (MPD) Mike Fanone is not only one of the heroes who protected the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021, but he also spent 20 years as an MPD officer serving the people of the District of Columbia. Mike and I worked murder cases decades ago when I was a homicide prosecutor handling murder homicide cases in the courts of D.C.
