7. Any time I've had a problem with an overcharge or misfiling . . .

Of charges on my credit card, I've called the credit card company, explained the situation and have had the charge blocked. It's always been handled quickly and without fuss. The earlier you make that call, the better.

I had a brouhaha over a Christmas present for my oldest son, a piece of exercise equipment. I paid for the purchase and the package never arrived. The company insisted it had been delivered by UPS. It wasn't. They even sent me a picture of the item. On someone else's doorstep.

We went round and round on the mis-delivered package until I called the credit card company, explained the situation and after they investigated, the charge was refunded (over $100) to my account.

The best way to resolve these things is keeping on top of your account balances and predicted delivery dates, so you know exactly what's going on.

And then, act as soon as possible. Contact the vendor with your complaint. If you get stalled? Call the credit company.

Also, don't trust anything with Trump's name attached.
