7. He's smart and as my Senator, I've had some issues with some of his votes. Laken Riley was the most recent.

This being an insurance state - back when I was with Organizing for America I had a few meetings with him regarding universal healthcare and was disappointed in his refusal to discuss the fiscal advantages but then Obama gave up even the public option - I dropped out of OFA and I have a feeling Murphy might be more open to it now. He did introduce the buy into Medicare Act so he's moving in the right direction there.

He's got great instincts on foreign policy - wish he was bolder but he's getting there.

He's very strong now in his moving closer to getting money out of politics. It's really become a big issue in his policy platform and that's a very big plus. He's great on guns. He's been an advocate of raising minimum wage. He's strong on veterans issues.

He has become very vocal on changing the Democratic Party - so I'd be really interested in hearing his platform should he choose to run. He's not as left as I am but he's also not as center as he once was -- he's serious and likeable and he'd be an interesting candidate on a debate floor in a primary.

For me - I'm all about policy and what someone will fight for. How bold they are and how willing they are to risk failure to do the right thing. So I'd definitely like to see more of Senator Murphy.
