16. I know. I have acquaintances in Israel. They do not support this attitude.

It’s heartbreaking to see what is happening with almost no pushback from world leaders. I do not expect the US under Trump’s heavy thumb to do anything, but EU leaders have the power either as a bloc or as individual countries (mire possible) to refuse to trade with Israel and impose heavy economic sanctions to force Netanyahu to back down. Are they so afraid of Trump and tariffs that they are willing to ignore the genocide taking place before their eyes?

When the NATO Secretary-General refers to Trump as Daddy needing to discipline a child, we’re seeing incredible capitulation to a tyrant. Rutte later excused his words as nothing more than asking whether Trump would stay with the family of NATO. I understand MAGA and Republicans treating Trump as an all-powerful God. I do not understand European leaders doing the same. The EU economy is not quite as strong as the US, but they are not helpless by any measure.
