30. That explanation is too easy.

It lets us off the hook too easily. By "us" I mean the Biden Administration, the EU, Canada etc. The Western media too.

For 16 months they all watched the destruction of Gaza (nearly complete already by January 2025), the blocking of aid, the near-starvation, the destruction of hospitals, schools, infrastructure etc and the undeniable commission of war crimes and atrocities. Yet they - but mostly the US. by providing diplomatic cover and blocking ceasefires through the UN three times! and by refusing to condition funding and weapons sales even when their own professionals in State were saying Israel was committing crimes - allowed all of it to happen with impunity.

Had Gaza not been allowed to be destroyed, Trump would not be able to do what he is doing. No one spoke up, no one stopped it. That, to me, is the tragedy and the betrayal of who we are supposed to be.
