to Marc’s statement:
“The difference between the former Soviet Union and the United States today is that we have the constitutional right to speak freely and criticize our government. Our media is protected from government censorship by a robust First Amendment.”

No, we have a Justice Department committed to tracking down incorrect speech (emails criticizing ICE’s murderers) just recently. Are we certain no one disappeared has already fallen into trumps’s dungeon? I’m not seeing that “robust First Amendment.

When did Elias (I’m a fan) write that. In 1776?
I’ll definitively add: echoed in the legal maxim: "A right without a remedy is no right at all."
